There are so many people I would like to thank for helping us along the
way that I can not possibly name them all, but I'm going to do my best.
First I'd like to say thank you to T.C., a Hospitality & Tourism teacher at
SIUC, who provided the right amount of encouragement at the right time
to make this all possible.
I'd like to thank Carl and Kelly Rexroad of The Bookworm as well as
Eastgate Shopping Center for letting us use their store and parking lot.
I'd like to thank Greg at the Small Business Incubator for helping us go
from a dream to a reality. I recommend them to any business just
starting out.
I'd like to thank the media for all the coverage they have been kind
enough to provide for us. Specifically WSIL Channel 3, Heartland
Women, The Carbondale Times, The Marion Daily and all of the others
who have been kind enough to help us get the word out.
I'd like to thank the wineries: Leon at Alto Vineyards who has gone way
out of his way to do special tours for our group; "Doc" Paul Jakobs of
Von Jakob Vineyard, who has been so helpful and provides such a
wonderful atmosphere for our guests; Brad of Owl Creek who has kept
me going when I wasn't sure I would make it (Thank you Brad!);.
Everyone at StarView who has worked with us to make sure that
everyone has a good time (while keeping both feet on the floor); the
Hedmans, who have served up some real kindness along with their
